The brothers Taj Jackson or Taj (Tariano Jackson), Taryll Jackson, and Tito/TJ Jackson are American singers and songwriters. They comprise R&B/pop music trio 3T. They have also purused solo careers.
3T are the sons of Delores Vilma (Martes), and singer, guitarist, and original The Jackson 5 member Tito Jackson (Tariano Adaryll Jackson). Their father was African-American. Their mother was of Mexican heritage (see here ). 3T are the nephews of musicians La Toya Jackson , Michael Jackson , and Janet Jackson , among others. Among their cousins are actor and musician Jermaine Jackson II , singer, songwriter, and musician Austin Brown , singer, dancer, and actor Jaafar Jackson , and actress and singer Paris Jackson .
Taj is a producer and director. He is married to Thayana Sco Jackson, with whom he has three children.
3T’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Walter Jackson (the son of Samuel Joseph Jackson and Crystal Lee King). Joseph was born in Arkansas. Samuel was born in Mississippi, the son of Israel “Nero” Jackson and Emeline/Emmaline Williams. Crystal was born in Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel King and Gertrude Daniel. 3T’s great-great-grandfather Israel was born in Amite, Mississippi, the son of Jack/July Gayle/Milam and Gina. He eventually took on the surname Jackson, after his father. Jack was owned by a family of French Huguenot origin, the Richbourgs; he may have also been descended from them. He was said to be of partial Choctaw Native American descent. It is not clear if this has been verified. Israel and Emeline are listed only as “Black” on U.S. Censuses.
3T’s maternal grandmother was Katherine/Kattie Esther/B. Scruse (the daughter of Prince Albert Screws/Scruse and Martha “Mattie” Upshaw). Katherine was born in Alabama, to parents who were also born in the state. Prince was the son of Prince Scruse/Screws and Julia Belle/Bell Jordan. Martha was the daughter of Daniel Upshaw and Jeanette/Jennetta Brown.
3T’s maternal grandmother is named Irma Estevez. Irma was born in Mexico.
