Ada Hegerberg is a Norwegian international footballer. A striker, she plays for Division 1 Féminine club Lyon, and the Norway national team. She was previously with Kolbotn, Stabæk, and Turbine Potsdam. She is the first recipient of the Women’s Ballon d’Or award created in 2018. She is 5′10″.
Ada was born in Molde, Norway, the daughter of Gerd and Stein Erik Hegerberg, and grew up in Sunndalsøra, and later in Kolbotn. Her family is from Møre og Romsdal county. Her older sister is professional footballer Andrine Hegerberg.
Ada is married to professional footballer Thomas Rogne.
Ada’s paternal grandfather was Marvin Hegerberg (the son of Martinus Olsen Hegerberg and Marie Martinusdtr. Bergsli). Marvin was born in Tingvoll.
Ada’s paternal grandmother was Marit Eline Edvardsdtr. Brekke (the daughter of Edvard Edvardsen Brekke and Synnøve Olsdtr. Ullaland).
Ada’s maternal grandfather was Thor Stolsmo (the son of Albert Tomander Johansen Stolsmo and Elise Olsdtr. Megaard). Thor was born in Halsa. Albert was the son of Johan Nilsen and Marie Andersdtr. Elise was the daughter of Ole Semundsen Megaard and Hanna Nilsdtr.
