Adam Jacobs is an American actor and singer. He has appeared largely on Broadway, where he starred in the musical Aladdin .
Adam is the son of Avelene Sorio and Alan Jacobs. His sister, Arielle Jacobs, is also an actress. Adam is married to Kelly Kohnert, with whom he has two children.
Adam has said :
My dad is Jewish [Russian, Dutch and Polish]… and my mom is Catholic and Filipino. I was raised Catholic and went to a Jesuit high school. Most people think I’m Latino. Right away they say, ‘Oh, are you Cuban or Dominican?’ I’ve gotten everything under the sun, to be honest. I see myself as American, in the sense that I’m a mix—and I’ve been able to use that to play a variety of roles.

Adam’s paternal grandfather was Edwin J. Jacobs (the son of Robert Jacobs and Sarah Muzinsky). Edwin was born in New York, to a Jewish family. Robert was born in New York, to parents from either the Netherlands or Germany, Kasper/Caspar Jacobs and Fannie/Fanny Wennek/Wennock. Sarah was born in Russia, the daughter of Morris Muzinsky and Rebecca Komm.
Adam’s paternal grandmother was Estelle Dorothy Moskowitz/Moss (the daughter of Harry Loeb Moskowitz and Edith Rosenberg/Roth). Estelle was born in New York, to a Jewish family. Harry was born in Romania. Edith was born in Poland, under the Russian Empire, and likely was the daughter of Isaac Rosenberg and Pauline Frankelstein.
Adam’s maternal grandfather was Julio Perez Sorio (the son of Brigido Sorio and Trinidad F. Perez). Julio was born in Bugallon, Pangasinan, Philippines.
Adam’s maternal grandmother was Lolita G. Flores (the daughter of Melchior “Melch” Flores and Apolonia Garcia). Lolita was born in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines.
