Adan Canto was a Mexican actor and singer. His roles include Sunspot in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past , as well as Amanda & Jack Go Glamping , Bruised , 2 Hearts , The Devil Below , and Agent Game , and television’s The Following , Mixology , Blood & Oil , Second Chance , Designated Survivor , and The Cleaning Lady .
He was the son of Marlyn Canto-Narvaez, a singer, and Jose-Luis Narvaez Guerra, a dentist. Adan was raised on his grandfather’s ranch in Acuña, where his father was a charro. He attended an American school in Del Rio, Texas, U.S., crossing the border daily. He performed as a singer in San Antonio, Texas, and Mexico City. Adan was married to American sculptor and painter Stephanie Lindquist, until his death, with whom he had two children.
