Aja is an American rapper, reality television personality, and drag queen. She is known for competing on the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race , and on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars . She is also known as Venus Nadya Oshun, Aja 007, Aja LaBeija, and Aja Miyake-Mugler. She is a transgender woman.

Aja was raised by adoptive parents. She has stated that her biological mother is of Indigenous Taino/Arawak and Middle Eastern, specificially Egyptian descent. She has also said that her biological father is African-American, with Nigerian roots.
