Alessandro Lindblad, commonly known by his stage name Alesso, is a Swedish musician, DJ, and record producer.
His father, Richard Lindblad (born Rickard Ingemar Lindelad), is Swedish. His mother, Anna Margareta (de Stefano), is the daughter of Italian emigrants, from Brindisi.
Alesso’s paternal grandfather was Otto Greger Lindblad (the son of Gustaf Vilhelm Lindblad and Hjördis Hulda Ragnhild Gunilla Rosenqvist). Otto was born in Hudiksvall, Gävleborg. Gustaf was the son of Otto Vilhelm Lindblad and Johanna Lovisa Fröst. Hjördis was an artist, and was the daughter of Gunnar Osvald Arthur Rosenqvist and Ragnhild Maria Engström.
Alesso’s paternal grandmother is Maud Margareta Merkedis Sahlén (the daughter of Oskar Sahlén and Svea Kristina Vestermark). Maud was born in Sollefteå, Västernorrland. Oskar was the son of Johan Sahlén and Johanna Alina Nilsson. Svea was the daughter of Pehr (later Per) Vilhelm Vestermark and Margreta Carolina (later Karolina) Eriksson.
