Alex Agase was an American professional football player, and coach. A guard and linebacker, he played for the Los Angeles Dons, the Chicago Rockets, the Cleveland Browns, and the Baltimore Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He was a line coach for the Dallas Texans and Iowa State, assistant coach, and then head coach, for Northwestern; head coach for Purdue; and assistant coach for Michigan. He was also athletic director for Eastern Michigan.
Alex was the son of Elsie (Darwitt) and Charles Goolasis Arrasi Agasie. His parents were born in Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. He was married to Norma Chapman, until his death, with whom he had three children.
Alex’s paternal grandparents were named Moorad Agase and Lyea Pera.
