Alex Hirsch is an American animator, director, writer, producer, and voice actor. He created and showran the animated series Gravity Falls , which he was also a writer for and voice artist on. He also wrote for the shows The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack , Fish Hooks , and Inside Job ; co-wrote the book Gravity Falls: Journal 3 ; and wrote the books Gravity Falls: Lost Legends and The Book of Bill .
