She is known for her roles in the films In & Out , Drop Dead Gorgeous , Sugar & Spice , Wishcraft , American Gun , The Hot Chick , Dead End (2003), How to Deal , Special (2006), All the Days Before Tomorrow , Dark Reel , Lovely Molly , In a World… , and Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story ; in the made-for-tv movies Uprising (2001) and Everything You Want ; and on the shows Mr. Rhodes , Cracker , Once and Again , Friends , Ally McBeal , Friday Night Lights , Franklin & Bash , and Rizzoli & Isles .
Alexandra is the daughter of Kristi and Barry Holden.
Alexandra’s paternal grandfather was Howard Frederick Holden (the son of William Henry Holden and Mathilda Elizabeth Miller). William was the born in Lima, Ohio, the son of English immigrants, John Holden and Emma Laura Daniels. Mathilda was the daughter of German emigrants, from Darmstadt, Hessen, Phillip Müller and Maria Apolonia Bischmann.
Alexandra’s paternal grandmother was Evelyn Ruth Allen (the daughter of John Otto Allen and Amanda Hage). John was the son of Swedish immigrants, Otto Johansson Allen and Anna Kathrina Andersdotter. Amanda was the daughter of Norwegian immigrants, Ole Rasmusen Hage and Martha Birkeland.
Alexandra’s maternal grandfather was The Rev. Clifford John Swanson (the son of Algot William Swanson and Esther Emelia Johnson). The Rev. Clifford was born in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, and was a Lutheran chaplain. Algot was the son of John Swanson, who was Swedish, and of Mathilda Emma Peters, who was born in Iowa, to Swedish parents. Esther was the daughter of Alfred Johnson and Christine Lindblom, who were Swedish emigrants, from Östergötland and Kronoberg, respectively.
Alexandra’s maternal grandmother was June Delores Anderson (the daughter of John Lenord Anderson and Sarah Eliza Warfield). June was born in Plankinton, South Dakota. John was the son of Nels Anderson and Mathilda Johnson, who were from Hallan Lon, Sweden. Sarah was the daughter of Oscar Warfield, who was from New York, and of Elizabeth Sprague, who was from Wisconsin. Sarah had deep lines in the U.S., with predominantly English, and distant Scottish and Irish, ancestry.
