Alexandra’s paternal grandfather was named James R. McDermott.

Alexandra’s paternal grandmother was named Helen Kirkpatrick.

Alexandra’s maternal grandfather was Gary Phillips (the son of Gerald Willard Phillips and Elva Ann Kent). Gary was born in Longview, Washington. Gerald was the son of Adison Jay Phillips and Ethel May Davis, whose father was English. Alexandra’s great-grandmother Elva was born in Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Alfred George Egbert Kent, whose parents were English; and of Agnes Elma Erickson, who was of Swedish descent.

Alexandra’s maternal grandmother was Sandi Gragg (the daughter of William Ward Gragg and Margaret Gragg Phillips Lee). Sandi was born in Longview.
