Alice Glass is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She co-founded electronic band Crystal Castles, of which she was the frontwoman. She is also known as Vicki Vale.
Alice’s paternal grandfather was William Ward Osborn (the son of Jesse Franklin Osborn and Lucy Margaret Linn). William was born in Simcoe, Norfolk, Ontario. Jesse was was born in Simcoe, the son of Arthur Franklin Osborne and Mary Evah Johnson, whose paternal grandmother was from Churchill, Oxfordshire, England. Alice’s great-grandmother Lucy was born in Grand Valley, Dufferin, Ontario, the daughter of William Alexander Linn, whose father was from Edinburgh, Lothian, Scotland, and whose mother was from Kleinbaerenweiler, Gerabronn District, Wuerttemberg, Germany; and of Annie Theresa Reid, whose father was from Ireland, and whose maternal grandparents were from New York and Vermont, respectively.
Alice’s paternal grandmother was Anna Margaret Pulbrook (the daughter of Daniel Pulbrook and Annie Quail). Anna was born in Hespeler, Waterloo, Ontario, to English parents. Daniel was born in London.
Alice’s maternal grandfather was named Joseph Bennett (the son of Joseph Bennett and Mabel). Joseph was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and was Mayor of Dundas, Ontario, from 1977 to 1985. He was the son of an Irish father and a mother of French descent.
