Allison’s paternal grandfather was Errol Jude Ponthier (the son of Turner Henry Ponthier and Dora Lemoine). Errol was born in Louisiana, and was of Cajun French descent. Turner was born in Hessmer, Avoyelles, Louisiana, the son of Alex Ponthieux/Ponthier and Edna Ducote. Allison’s great-grandmother Dora was born in Mansura, Avoyelles, the daughter of Marcellus Lemoine and Marie Caroline Chatelain.
Allison’s paternal grandmother was Anita Hope Terrell (the daughter of James Monroe Terrell and Nellie Ida Frueh). Anita was born in Scotland, Missouri, and had deep roots in the U.S. James was born in Marietta, Cobb, Georgia, the son of Owen Judkins Terrell and Mattie Bura Wolcott. Allison’s great-grandmother Nellie was born in Greenville, Bond, Illinois. Her father, Andrew Frueh, had a German emigrant father, from Oberhausen, Emmendingen, Baden; and maternal grandparents who were Swiss-German. Nellie’s mother was Mary Alice Long.
Allison’s maternal grandfather was Gilbert Allen Raske (the son of George Albert Raske and Mary E. Petrick). Gilbert was born in Oak Park, Illinois. George was born in Chicago, the son of Joseph Raske and Fredericka Geisemann, who were born in Pennsylvania, both of them to German parents.
