Alma’s maternal grandfather is Joseph Antoine Ruiz (the son of Vicente Ruiz and Joséphine Henriette Irles). Vicente was the son of Francisco Ruiz and María Concepción Timotea Germán. Joséphine was the daughter of José Irles and Spanish immigrant María de la Asunción Cascales Pomares, of Santa Pola, Alicante.
Alma’s maternal grandmother is named Christiane Orosco.
