Andrew Gillum is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he was a Member of the Tallahassee City Commission, from February 28, 2003 to November 21, 2014, and Mayor of Tallahassee, from November 21, 2014 to November 19, 2018.
Andrew is the son of Frances, a school bus driver, and Charles Gillum, a construction worker. He is married to Rashada Jai Howard, with whom he has three children.
Andrew’s paternal grandfather was named J.T. Gillum (the son of Willie Gillum, and of a woman surnamed Hill). Willie was the son of Tucker Gillum and Josie Hodge.
Andrew’s paternal grandmother was named Elizabeth Howard.
Andrew’s maternal grandfather had the surname Jackson.
Andrew’s maternal grandmother is the daughter of George Baker and Rosa Lee. George was the son of Floyd Baker and Eliza Smith.
