Andy Dalton is an American professional football player. A quarterback, he plays for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bears, and the New Orleans Saints.
Andy is the son of Tina (Payne) and Gregory Dalton. He is married to Jordan Jones, with whom he has three children. Andy is a Christian.
Andy’s paternal grandfather was Oscar Leonard Dalton, Jr. (the son of Oscar Leonard Dalton, Sr. and Delta Madlin/Mae Upchurch). Andy’s great-grandfather Oscar was the son of Samuel A. Dalton and Nancy Leann Marsh. Delta was the daughter of Arthur R. Upchurch and Lena Elenor Reagan.
Andy’s paternal grandmother was Hazel Elise Poston (the daughter of Irwin/Irving Edward Poston and Bertha Susan Matthews). Hazel was born in Tennessee. Irving was the son of Hiram Poston and Martha Dockery. Bertha was the daughter of William Jasper Matthews and Mary Frances Webb.
