Andy Farrell is an English-Irish professional rugby player, and coach. A loose forward and second-row in rugby league, he played for Wigan, and for the Great Britain national team, the England national team, and Lancashire. He captained Wigan, Great Britain, and England. A centre, fly-half, and flanker in rugby union, he played for Saracens, and the England national team. In rugby union, he coaches the Ireland national team, and was previously coach for Saracens; assistant coach for the England national team; defence coach for British & Irish Lions; assistant coach for the Ireland national team; and coach for British & Irish Lions. He is 6′4″.
Andy is the son of Carol and Peter Farrell. His brother is professional rugby player Phil Farrell. His cousins are rugby league footballers Liam Farrell and Connor Farrell. He is married to Colleen (O’Loughlin), with whom he has four children, including rugby union player Owen Farrell . Colleen is the sister of rugby player and coach Sean O’Loughlin.
