Andy Kim is an American politician and diplomat. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a U.S. Senator from New Jersey, since December 8, 2024. He was previously with the U.S. State Department, and was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New Jersey, from January 3, 2019 to December 8, 2024.
His father is a geneticist. His mother is a nurse. He was raised in Marlton, Evesham Township, New Jersey, and later Cherry Hill. Andy is married to tax attorney Kammy Lai, with whom he has two children. He is a Presbyterian.
