Anna Lambe is a Canadian actress. Her roles include the film The Grizzlies , and the shows Trickster , Diggstown , Three Pines , Alaska Daily , True Detective: Night Country , Warrior Up! , and North of North .
Anna’s paternal grandfather was Melvin John Lambe (the son of James Pike and Theresa M. Lambe). Theresa was the daughter of Leo F. Lambe and Mary.
Anna’s paternal grandmother was named Madonna M. Farrell (the daughter of Thomas Farrell and Bridget).
Anna’s maternal grandfather is named John Amagoalik. John was born near Inukjuak, Québec, and is a politician and Inuit rights activist. He is seen as the “Father of Nunavut.” He has been Baffin Regional Information Officer, from 1971 to 1974, Executive director of Nunavut Land Claims Project, from 1974 to 1975, President of the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, from 1981 to 1985, and again, from 1988 to 1991; and Chairman of the Nunavut Implementation Commission, from 1993 to 1999.
Anna’s maternal grandmother was named Mary L. Flaherty (the daughter of Josephie Flaherty and Rynee). Anna’s grandmother Mary was born in Inukjuak, Québec, and was relocated along with her family to Grise Fiord, Nunavut, during the Grise Fiord exiles. Anna’s great-grandfather Josephie was the son of filmmaker Robert J. Flaherty (Robert Joseph Flaherty) and Maggie Nujarluktuk. Robert was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan, U.S., of Irish and German descent.
