Anna May Wong was an American actress. She is usually considered to be the first Chinese-American movie star. Her parents, Lee Gon/Gun/Gwan Toy/Foy and Wong Sam Sing, were second-generation Chinese-Americans. Her father owned Sam Kee Laundry. Her grandparents had been in the U.S. since c. 1855.
