Annet Mahendru is an American actress. Her roles include Nina on The Americans , and Huck on The Walking Dead: World Beyond .
Annet was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, to an Indian Hindu father, Ghanshan “Ken” Mahendru, and a Russian mother, Olga Vladimirovna Katareva. Her father is a journalist and educator from Delhi, whose family moved to Afghanistan on business. Annet was raised in Afghanistan and St. Petersburg, Russia, then moving to Frankfurt, New York, U.S., with her father when she was thirteen. She is fluent in Persian, Russian, German, and English, and also speaks Hindi and French.
Annet is married to Australian writer and director Louie Gibson, with whom she has two children. Louie is the son of Australian-American actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson and the brother of Australian actor Milo Gibson .
Annet’s maternal grandmother’s name is Nina Yakovlevna.
