Anthony Michael Hall is an American actor, director, and producer. He is known for his roles in the films National Lampoon’s Vacation , Sixteen Candles , The Breakfast Club , Weird Science , Johnny Be Good , Edward Scissorhands , The Dark Knight , and Halloween Kills , and on the series The Dead Zone .
He is the son of Mercedes Hall (born Katherine deRosa), a blues jazz singer, and Larry Hall, who owned an auto-body shop. His sister, Mary Christian, is also a performer. He is married to Slovak actress Lucia Oskerova, with whom he has a son.
Anthony’s paternal grandfather likely was Alfred W. Hall (the son of Roland Milton Hall and Mary Anne Curley). Alfred was born in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
