Aroldis Chapman is a Cuban-American professional baseball player. A pitcher, he plays for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was previously with the Cincinnati Reds, the New York Yankees, the Chicago Cubs, the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Aroldis is the son of Maria Caridad De La Cruz and Juan Alberto Chapman Benett. His paternal grandparents were Jamaican. He became a U.S. citizen in 2016.
