Ashley Leggat is a Canadian actress, dancer, and singer. She is known for her role on the series Life with Derek .
Ashley had once thought that her surname was of French origin, but she later found out that it is English. She is married to professional ice hockey centre Jeremy Williams, with whom she has three children.
She is a Christian.
Ashley’s paternal grandfather was Robert Charles Leggat (the son of Fauntleroy Ellsworth “Roy” Leggat and Florence Caroline Walker). Roy was the son of Charles Leggat/Leggett, whose father was an English, from Walberton, Sussex; and of Georgetta Ellsworth, who had deep American roots. Florence was the daughter of James Alexander Walker and Mary Ann Ritchie, who were the children of Scottish parents.
Ashley’s paternal grandmother was Cleta Carol Purdie (the daughter of David Barr Purdie and Olive Jane Boland). David was the son of Nathaniel Purdie, who was a Scottish emigrant, from Wigtownshire; and of Agnes Barr, whose grandparents were all Scottish. Olive was the daughter of John James Boland, whose paternal grandparents, and mother, were from Ireland/Northern Ireland; and of Caroline “Carrie” Kinch, who had three grandparents from Ireland, and one from England.
Ashley’s maternal grandfather was Stanley Jack Rogers (the son of Stanley William Rogers and Bessie Evelyn Esme Rawlings). Ashley’s great-grandfather Stanley was the son of Richard Francis Rogers and Susannah Jamieson, whose father was Scottish, and whose mother was Northern Irish. Bessie was the daughter of Edgar Rawlings, whose parents were English emigrants, from Wiltshire; and of Caroline Harding, who was herself an English emigrant, from Hindon, Wiltshire.
Ashley’s maternal grandmother was Margaret Anne Bodkin (the daughter of William Edgar Norman Bodkin and Elsie Louisa Janes). Margaret was born in Middlesex, Ontario. William was the son of Robert Bodkin, who was from Ireland; and of Mary Anne McFarlane. Elsie was the daughter of Henry Janes, whose parents were English; and of Annie Elizabeth Duncan, whose parents were Scottish.
