Ashley Roberts is an American singer, dancer, actress, model, and television personality. She was part of The Pussycat Dolls, a girl group and dance ensemble whose members also included Carmit Bachar , Kaya Jones , Nicole Scherzinger , Jessica Sutta , Melody Thornton , and Kimberly Wyatt , as well as Asia Nitollano .
Ashley is the daughter of Peggy (Lorraine), a Pilates instructor, and Patrick Allen “Pat” Roberts, an auto dealer who previously was the drummer for the band The Mamas & the Papas. She has stated , “…I guess Roberts is a Welsh name! We did a DNA test, actually. There was English, Irish, Swedish, a bit of Spanish. But I don’t have actual clarification on the Welsh!”
Ashley’s paternal grandfather likely was Jack Allen Roberts (born Jack Allen Price, the son of Bernard Allen Price and Gladys A. Bleigh). Jack was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was adopted by his stepfather. Bernard was the son of Philip J. Ashley’s paternal grandmother likely was Olive Vermadell Pearson (the daughter of Charles Lloyd Pearson and Norene Julia Coleman). Olive was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and had deep roots in the U.S. Charles was the son of Charles A. Pearson and Myrtle Ambria Bowman. Norene was the daughter of Samuel J. Tildon Coleman and Grace Tegar.
Ashley’s maternal grandfather was John Albert McMahan (the son of Edwin Brady McMahan and Ova Isabel Carr). John was born in Boise City, Oklahoma, and had deep roots in the U.S. Edwin was the son of John Reid McMahan and Harriet Elizabeth Lynn. Ova was the daughter of James Calvin Carr and Mary Isabelle Gore.
Ashley’s maternal grandmother was Maxine Lorraine Lundberg (the daughter of Fred Oscar Lundberg and Essie Marie Lewis). Maxine was born in Newcastle, Wyoming. Fred was the son of Swedish emigrants, from Malmö, Nels Lundberg and Marie Nelson. Essie was the daughter of Samuel Simpson Lewis and Mary Matilda Leigh Spears, and had deep American roots.
