Her roles include many video games, including Horizon Zero Dawn , Life Is Strange , Borderlands , The Last of Us Part II , and Team Fortress 2 ; and the shows Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’? , which she co-created and wrote for; Adventure Time , RocketJump: The Show , Pig Goat Banana Cricket , OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes , Trolls: The Beat Goes On! , Final Space , Mythic Quest , The Ghost and Molly McGee , Dragon Age: Absolution , Chibiverse , and Fionna and Cake . She was also a writer for Adventure Time , RocketJump: The Show , The Legend of Vox Machina , and Mythic Quest ; and was a director on the latter.
Her father is American, and is mainly of Scottish, English, and German descent. Her mother is from Thailand. Ashly is married to comedian Mort Burke.
According to some family trees, One of Ashly’s six-times-great-grandmother, Annie Shorey, was born, c. 1750, in Georgia, the daughter of John Shorey, whose parents were Scottish, and of Ghigooie “Peggy” Red Clan, who was a Cherokee Native American woman.
