Ashnikko’s paternal grandfather was Robert Lloyd Casey (the son of William Leroy Casey and Pauline Gray Ellington). Robert was born in Guilford, North Carolina, and had deep roots in the state. William was the son of Lloyd James Casey and Emma Roxie Hogans. Pauline was the daughter of Charles Emmett Ellington and Frances Regina Hunt.
Ashnikko’s paternal grandmother is Sylvia Jane Rumsey (the daughter of Glenn David Rumsey and Margaret Virginia Goble). Sylvia was born in Guilford, North Carolina, and had deep roots in the state. Glenn was the son of Clyde Elliott Rumsey and Ava Edna Nichols. Margaret was the daughter of Luther Goble and Mittie Wilma Bean.
Ashnikko’s maternal grandfather is Paul James DeLoca (the son of Arthur Leland DeLoca and Margaret M. Arthen). Paul was born in New York. Arthur was the son of Charles Alfonso DeLoca, an Italian immigrant, and of Erminia “Emily” Stupelli, whose parents were also Italian. Margaret was the daughter of Jacob Anthony Arthen and Magdalena Keil, who were born in New York, both of them to German immigrants.
Ashnikko’s maternal grandmother is Penelope Timothea “Penny” Donoghue (the daughter of Timothy Donoghue, Jr. and Rosetta Marie D’Apice). Penny was born in New York. Timothy was the son of Timothy Donoghue, whose parents were Irish; and of Lillian Foster, who had deep roots in the U.S. Rosetta was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Carmine D’Apice and Angelina Chisina.
