Autumn Durald Arkapaw is an American cinematographer. She has been the cinematographer for the films Palo Alto (2013), One & Two , Untogether , Teen Spirit (2018), The Sun Is Also a Star , Mainstream (2020), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , The Last Showgirl , and Sinners (2025). For the latter film, she won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, becoming the first woman to win in the category. She has also been the cinematographer for the documentary film Beastie Boys Story , the tv special Aziz Ansari: Right Now , and music videos including for “Falling,” “Strong,” “Hearts Like Ours,” “Primetime,” “Wasted,” “Porno,” “Sucker,” “Power Is Power,” and “Lift Me Up;” and a co-cinematographer for the documentary film The Reflektor Tapes and the show Loki . She was previously billed by her birth names Autumn Cheyenne Durald and Autumn Durald.

She is married to Australian cinematographer Adam Arkapaw, with whom she has one child. The surname Arkapaw appears to originate in Eastern Europe.

Autumn’s maternal grandfather was surnamed Bautista.
