Barbie Hsu was a Taiwanese actress, singer, and television personality. She starred on the show Meteor Garden . She was in musical duo “S.O.S.” (Sisters of Shu) with her sister, television host, actress, and singer Dee Hsu . She was also known as Big S (大S; Da S) and Barbie Shu, Hsi-yuan Hsu, Tiger Hsu, and Shanshan.
Barbie was the daughter of Hsu Chien and Huang Chunmei. Her cousin was news anchor and journalist Chelsey Chang Chia-ru. She was married to South Korean singer, DJ, music producer, dancer, and songwriter Koo Jun-yup/DJ Koo, until her death. Barbie had two children with her former husband, Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei.
Barbie’s ancestry can be traced back to Tancheng, Linyi, Shandong, China.
