Bérénice Bejo is an Argentinian-born French actress. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Artist (2011).
She is the daughter of Silvia de Paoli, a lawyer, and Miguel Bejo, a filmmaker. When she was three, her family moved to France, escaping from the Argentine Dirty War. Bérénice is married to French director Michel Hazanavicius , with whom she has two children. Michel directed The Artist . She is a citizen of Argentina and France.
