Bethenny Frankel is an American television personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and author. She was the host of the show Bethenny , from 2012 to 2014, and The Big Shot with Bethenny , in 2021.

Bethenny is the daughter of Bernadette and Robert Julian Frankel, a famed horse trainer. Bethenny’s mother converted to Judaism. She has a daughter with her former husband, pharmaceutical sales executive Jason Hoppy.

Bethenny’s paternal grandfather was named Merrill Frankel.

Bethenny’s paternal grandmother was named Gertrude.

Bethenny’s maternal grandfather was Ralph Verderosa (the son of Salvatore Verderosa and Helen Freudenberger/Fredenberg). Ralph was born in New York. Salvatore was born in New York, to Italian parents. Helen was born in Queens, New York City, New York, and was adopted by German parents, Jacob Freudenberger and Maria/Mary Thamsen.

Bethenny’s maternal grandmother was Patricia Mary Daley (the daughter of Jeremiah Daley and Mary Ellen Corcoran). Patricia was born in Dowlais, Glamorgan, Wales, of Irish heritage. According to Bethenny’s biography, her grandmother’s family in Wales lived in shacks and raised pigeons there. Jeremiah was born in Merthyr Tydfil, the son of Jeremiah Daley, who had roots in Cork; and of Mary Linehan. Bethenny’s great-grandmother Mary Ellen was born in Penydarren, Merthyr Tydfil, the daughter of Daglan/Deaglan/Declan Corcoran, whose parents were from County Waterford; and of Hannah Barry, whose father was from County Cork.
