Betty Hutton was an American actress, comedian, dancer, and singer.
She was the daughter of Mabel and Corporal Percy Edward Thornburg. Her sister was actress Marion Hutton. She had two children with her former husband, camera manufacturer Ted Briskin; and a daughter with her former husband, jazz trumpeter Pete Candoli.
Betty’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Havilah Thornburg (the son of Edward M. Thornburg and Elminah/Elmirah Mason). Thomas was born in Western, Saline County, Nebraska. Edward was born in Randolph County, Indiana, the son of Jacob Thornburgh and Rachel Hammer. Elminah was born in Henry County, Iowa, the daughter of Edmond/Edmund Mason and Elizabeth Haworth.
