Billy Campbell, also known as Bill Campbell and Ollie Campbell, is an American actor. He starred as Cliff Secord/The Rocketeer in the film The Rocketeer (1991), and on the animated show of the same name. His roles also include the films Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), Gettysburg (1993), Under the Hula Moon , Lover’s Knot , The Second Jungle Book: Mowgli & Baloo , Menno’s Mind , The Brylcreem Boys , Enough (2002), Gods and Generals , Ghost Town (2008), Fat Kid Rules the World , Copperhead (2013), The Scribbler , Troll (2022), Narvik , I Know What You Did Last Summer , and Trust (2025); the shows Dynasty , Crime Story , Moon Over Miami , Once and Again , The 4400 , The O.C. , Melrose Place , The Killing , Helix , Modus , Cardinal , Star Trek: Prodigy , Something Undone , and Mr. & Mrs. Smith ; the mini-series Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City , In the Beginning , and Meteor ; and the made-for-tv movies Checkered Flag , Max Q , The Circuit (2008), Killing Lincoln , and Lizzie Borden Took an Ax .
He is married to Anne, with whom he has two children. Anne is Norwegian, and he at least partly lives in Norway.
Billy’s maternal great-great-great-great-grandmother was Eleanor Parke Custis Lewis, the adopted daughter of U.S. President George Washington , who was the biological granddaughter of his wife Martha Dandridge Washington.
Billy’s paternal grandfather was William Oliver Campbell II (the son of Wilson Alexander Campbell and Alice Clause). William was born in Pennsylvania. Wilson was the son of The Rev. William Oliver Campbell and Mary Louisa Shaw. Alice was the daughter of William Lewis Clause and Elizabeth Ann Fish.
Billy’s paternal grandmother was Martha Seabury (the daughter of Joseph Stowe Seabury and Marian Gill “Minnie” Ball). Martha was born in Massachusetts. Joseph was the son of Joseph Bartlett Seabury and Martha Daniels Mason. Marian was the daughter of George H. Ball and Florence J. Gill.
