Børns, also known as Garrett Borns, or stylized as BØRNS, is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He released his EP, “A Dream Between,” in 2012, and his debut studio album, “Dopamine,” in 2015. Ella Vos was a member of his band.

Børns was raised in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Børns’ paternal grandfather was Douglas Alan Borns (the son of Arthur E. Borns and Rita M. Manigold). Douglas was born in Muskegon, Michigan. Arthur was born in Muskegon, to German parents, Paul Burns and Anna Leeck. Børns’ great-grandmother Rita was born in Michigan, the daughter of David Franklin Manigold, whose paternal grandparents were from Alsace, France, and whose maternal grandparents were Irish; and of Winfred Martin, whose paternal grandfather was from Ireland, and whose maternal grandfather was from Dorset, England.

Earl was born on Mackinac Island, Mackinac, Michigan, the son of Antoine Pearo and Josephine Ortago, who herself was born in Texas, to a father from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and to an Irish mother. Børns’ great-grandmother Mary was born in Canada, of French-Canadian heritage, the daughter of Joseph Peter Giroux Vallier, who was from Simcoe, Ontario; and of Agnes Boucher Adoskin.
