Borut Pahor is a Slovenian politician. He has been President of Slovenia, from 22 December, 2012 to 22 December, 2022. He has also been Prime Minister of Slovenia, from 21 November, 2008 to 10 February, 2012, and Speaker of the National Assembly, from 10 November, 2000 to 12 July, 2004.
His father, Franc Pahor, died when Borut was young. He was raised by his mother, Iva, who is a Nazi concertation camp survivor. He has a son with his domestic partner, lawyer Tanja Pečar.
Borut’s maternal grandfather was named Jožef Vodopivec.
Borut’s maternal grandmother was named Zora Hmeljak.
