Brad Wilk is an American musician, actor, and activist. He is the drummer for rock band Rage Against the Machine, whose other members are Tim Commerford , Zach de la Rocha , and Tom Morello , and for rock supergroup Audioslave , whose other members were Commerford, Chris Cornell , and Morello. He was also a member of supergroup Sound City Players, with Dave Grohl , Taylor Hawkins , Rami Jaffee , Paul McCartney , Stevie Nicks , Krist Novoselic , Pat Smear , Rick Springfield , and Corey Taylor ; and rap rock supergroup Prophets of Rage, with B-Real , Commerford, Chuck D , and Morello.
He is married to musician Selene Vigil-Wilk.
Brad is said to be of German Jewish and Russian Jewish descent. Some of his family were refugees from the Holocaust.
He recited the Hebrew blessing for the Sabbath before a concert crowd, when Rage Against the Machine played Israel in 2000.
