Bradley Byrne is an American business attorney and politician. A Republican, he was a Member of the Alabama State Board of Education, from January 3, 1995 to January 4, 2003, Chancellor of the Alabama Community College System, from May 2007 to August 31, 2009, and a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Alabama, from January 8, 2014 to January 3, 2021.
Bradley is the son of Elizabeth (Langsdale) and Arthur LaCoste Byrne. He is married to Rebecca Dukes, with whom he has four children.
Bradley’s paternal grandfather was Patrick Henry Byrne (the son of Thomas Cooper Byrne and Anna Douglas Barlow).
Bradley’s paternal grandmother was Mary Claudine Roberts (the daughter of Mordecai Roberts and Mary Evelyn Johnson). Mordecai was the son of Seth Willis Roberts and Claudine LaCoste.
