Brenda Song is an American actress, singer, producer, and model. Her father is a Hmong who emigrated to the U.S. from Laos. Her mother is Thai, and was adopted by Hmong parents. Brenda has two children with her partner, actor, musician, and podcaster Macaulay Culkin .

Her father’s family name was originally Xiong, but was changed to Song after her father moved to the U.S. Brenda is fluent in Hmong and stated in an interview that her father encouraged her and her brothers to speak Hmong at home to keep their culture.
