Brent Kutzle is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, record producer, and film composer. He is the bassist for pop rock band OneRepublic, which also includes Ryan Tedder .
He attended school in Westminster, California.
Brent’s paternal grandfather was James Paul Kutzle (the son of Fielding Joseph Kutzli and Cecelia Agnes McNelis). James was born in Ohio. Fielding was the son of Meno Kutzle/Kutzli, whose parents were Swiss; and of Lenora White, whose mother was French. Brent’s great-grandmother Cecelia was the daughter of William McNelis, who was Irish; and of Mary Cunningham.
Brent’s paternal grandmother was named Kathleen Anne Gallagher (the daughter of Cornelius Gallagher and Anna). Kathleen was born in Pennsylvania. Cornelius was born in Pennsylvania, to Irish parents.
Two of Brent’s maternal great-grandparents were Conrad John Schnell and Sarah Reuscher. Conrad was born in Norka, Saratov, Russia, to parents of German descent, Johann Schnell and Katharina Klieber. Sarah was born in Nebraska, to German parents from Norka, Russia, Heinrich Reuscher and Louisa George/Jorg.
