Brett Cullen is an American actor. Brett is the son of Catherine and Lucien Hugh Cullen, an oil industry executive. His father is said to have been part of a famous and wealthy oil family in Texas. He is married to actress Michele Little, with whom he has a daughter.
Brett’s paternal grandfather was Richard Frederick Cullen (the son of Cicero Cullen and Louise Amanda Beck). Richard was born in Texas, and had mostly deep American roots. Cicero was the son of Judge Ezekiel Wimberly Cullen and Eliza Ann Cooper. Louise was the daughter of James Lewis Beck, whose maternal grandfather was Swiss-French; and of Sarah Elizabeth Gillison.
Brett’s paternal grandmother was Emelia Anna Hehn (the daughter of John Hehn and Julia Duff Stark). Emelia was born in Texas. John was the son of Peter Hehn, a German emigrant, from Nalbach, Saarland; and of Anne Marie Batot, who was an Alsatian emigrant, from Mittelwihr, Haut-Rhin. Brett’s great-grandmother Julia was the daughter of German emigrants, Georges Starck, from Darmstadt, Hessen; and Katharina Knoll, from Saxony.
Brett’s maternal grandfather was William Francis Kennedy (the son of Joseph Kennedy and Catherine Duffy). William was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to Irish parents.
Brett’s maternal grandmother was Ellen Theresa “Nellie” Regan (the daughter of James Joseph Regan and Jane Aloysins “Jennie” White). Ellen was born in Providence, Rhode Island. James was an Irish immigrant, and was the son of Timothy Regan and Mary Burke. Jane was also the daughter of Irish immigrants, Richard White and Mary Crowley.
