Brigitte Bardot was a French actress, singer, dancer, model, and animal rights activist. She is known for starring in the film And God Created Woman (1956). Brigitte was the daughter of Anne-Marie and Louis Bardot, an engineer, who was the proprietor of several industrial factories. Her sister was writer, businessperson, and actress Mijanou Bardot. She was married to right-wing political advisor Bernard d’Ormale, until her death. Brigitte had a son with her former husband, actor Jacques Charrier. Her sister Mijanou is married to Belgian actor Patrick Bauchau.
Brigitte’s paternal grandfather was Charles Bardot (the son of Auguste Bardot and Marie Clothilde/Clotilde Willemart). Charles was born in Ligny-en-Barrois, Meuse, Lorraine. Auguste was born in Raival, Meuse, the son of Nicolas/Nicholas Bardot and Marie Thérèse Brichard. Brigitte’s great-grandmother Marie was born in Ligny-en-Barrois, the daughter of Edmé Jean Willemart and Marie-Jeanne Adélaïde Grosjean.
