Brock’s paternal grandfather was Patrick William Hurn (the son of Vincent William Hurn and Hazel Delene Irvin). Patrick was born in Kansas. Vincent was the son of William Patrick Hurn, whose mother was Irish, from County Monaghan; and of Catherine Elalia Rustemier, whose father was German, and whose mother was Irish. Brock’s great-grandmother Hazel was the daughter of John Allen Irvin and Hazel Virginia McClure, and had deep roots in the U.S.

Brock’s paternal grandmother is named Kathe L. Anderson.

Brock’s maternal grandfather was Phillip Hillenbrand (the son of Joseph Edward Hillenbrand and Marion Louise Storer). Phillip was born in Mojave, California.
