Brock Peters was an American actor and singer. He is known for playing Crown in the 1959 version of Porgy and Bess and Tom Robinson in the film To Kill a Mockingbird . He was also billed as Brock G. Peters.
He was the son of Alma A. (Norford) and Sonnie Fisher, a sailor. He was married to Dolores Daniels, until her death, with whom he had a daughter.
His father is sometimes described on the internet as Senegalese. This is not accurate. He was an African-American, from Jacksonville, Florida.
