Buster Posey is an American professional baseball player. A catcher, he played his entire professional career with the San Fransisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is an executive and President of Baseball Operations for the San Francisco Giants.
Buster is the son of Tracy and Gerald Posey. His sister, Samantha, has played college softball. He is married to Kristen, with whom he has four children.
Posey’s paternal grandfather was Gerald Dempsey Posey (the son of Clyde Jefferson Posey and Ida Crummie McAfee). Gerald was born in Georgia. Clyde was the son of Benjamin Franklin Posey and Sarah Elizabeth Williamson. Ida was the daughter of Terrell Tolbert McAfee and Sarah Ida Lane.
Posey’s paternal grandmother is Neal Crotwell (the daughter of James Calvin Crotwell and Mary Helen Gray). Neal was born in Georgia. James was the son of Samuel Phillip Crotwell and Nellie Henrietta Neal, who were first cousins, once removed. Mary was the daughter of John Marion Gray and Lula E. Swink.
