Caitlin Gerard is an American actress and filmmaker. Her roles include the shows Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous , American Crime , When We Rise , and The Last Ship , and the films Magic Mike , and its sequel Magic Mike’s Last Dance ; Smiley , Pocket Listing , The Assignment (2016), Insidious: The Last Key , and The Wind (2018).
Her mother is an immigrant. Caitlin is married to musician Griffin Goldsmith, of folk rock band Dawes. The couple has one child. Griffin is the brother of musician Taylor Goldsmith, who is married to actress and singer Mandy Moore .
Caitlin’s paternal grandfather was John Paul Gerard (the son of Joseph Godfrey Gerard and Margaret Gertrude Trombley). John was born in Indiana, and was of French-Canadian descent. Joseph was Canadian, the son of Joseph Pierre Girard and Mary Melina Boyer. Margaret was the daughter of Leander/Alexander Trombley and Emma Matilda LaClair.
Caitlin’s paternal grandmother was Beverly Ann Bemis (the daughter of Glenn Clifford Bemis and Leona Alice Nobis). Beverly was born in Ohio. Glenn was the son of Burton Warren Bemis and Hattie Blanche Krugh, and had deep roots in the U.S. Leona was the daughter of Ernest Henry Nobis, a German emigrant, from Hannover; and of Anna Elizabeth Milbrandt, who was also the daughter of German emigrants, from Prussia.
Caitlin’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Hoeller.
