Caleb’s paternal grandfather is the son of Richard Lee Hammer and Jessie Lee Buckner. He was born in Indiana. Richard was born in Meshack, Monroe, Kentucky, the son of Joseph Kidwell Hammer and Mary Ethel Davis. Caleb’s great-grandmother Jessie was born in Kentucky, the daughter of George Washington Buckner and Rosetta Perry.
