Cariba is the daughter of Michelle and Kevin Heine. Her family moved to Australia when she was three. She trained in dance before moving into acting. Her mother worked as a showgirl, before opening and running a dance school in Canberra, where Cariba spent part of her childhood training as a dancer. Cariba is married to Matt Pong, with whom she has a son.
