Dunga, or Carlos Dunga, is a Brazilian professional footballer, and manager. A defensive midfielder, he played for Internacional, Corinthians, Santos, Vasco da Gama, Pisa, Fiorentina, Pescara, VfB Stuttgart, and Júbilo Iwata, and the Brazil Olympic team and the Brazil national team. He managed the Brazil national team, Brazil U23, and Internacional. He captained the Brazil national team that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
Dunga is the son of Maria Bledorn and Edelceu Verri, a footballer. His father is of Italian descent, from Piedmont. His mother is of German descent.
Dunga’s paternal grandfather was Caetano Verri, a footballer.
