Carlos Tévez is an Argentine professional footballer, and manager. A forward, he played for Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham United, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, and Shanghai Shenhua, and the Argentina national team. He manages Talleres. He previously managed Rosario Central and Independiente. He was the front man of cumbia villera musical group Piola Vago, with his brother, Diego.
Carlos’s biological father was killed when Carlos was five years old. Carlos was left by his biological mother, Fabiana Martínez, when he was an infant. He was raised by his maternal aunt, Adriana Martínez, and by her husband, Segundo Tévez, who officially adopted him when he was fifteen. He was renamed Carlos Alberto Tévez.
Carlos grew up in the neighbourhood of Ejército de Los Andes, known as Fuerte Apache. He received the nickname of “El Apache.”
Carlos is married to Vanesa Mansilla, with whom he has two children.
