Carmen’s maternal grandfather was Luis Maura y Nadal (the son of Bartolomé Maura y Montaner and Magdalena Nadal Bosch). Bartolomé was born in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, the son of Bartomeu Maura i Gelabert and Margalida Montaner i Llampayes.
