Caroline Sunshine is an American actress, singer, and political aide. Her roles include the show Shake It Up and the films Marmaduke (2010) and The Outfield . She worked in the White House during the presidency of Donald Trump in 2018 and was rehired in June 2024 as his Deputy Communications Director for the 2024 campaign. She has worked for politicians Eric Doden, Kevin McCarthy, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
She was raised in Orange County, California.
Caroline’s paternal grandfather was Robert Warren Sunshine (the son of Theodore R. Sunshine and Irene Alberta Grieve). Robert was born in California. Theodore was born in Missouri, the son of Hungarian Jewish parents, Louis Sonnenschein/Sunshine, who was born in Vecze, Maros-Torda; and Laura Weiss/Weisz.
